![]() ![]() (A Season 2 pickup for S&L is TBD.) Meanwhile, The CW is expanding Walker‘s inaugural season by 5 episodes, for a grand total of 18. 23 - has received an order for two additional episodes, bringing its Season 1 total to 15. +Jesse's ecstatic speedster +Harry is back +Magenta was a nice change of pace +Felton -Wally material 8.Additionally, Superman & Lois - which is set to bow on Feb. ![]() It's just about dang time Tom Cavanagh returns, and I hope he sticks around for quite some time. And lastly, I loved Harry calling Barry out for his Flashpoint mistakes. Tom Felton once again bringing a fresh vibe to the show, it's been unlike anything the show has had in the past and I love it. A few other noteworthy pleasantries included: Harry excessively using the word "not" at the end of his sarcastic comments. But please Barry, just tell Wally he was a speedster in the other timeline. Everything to do with Wally tonight was pretty dull TV. Having him stand in front of an oncoming car to "jumpstart" his speedster process was one of the most ridiculous things this show has ever done. ![]() If I'm being honest, I've never really cared about the Wally character, and now having Jesse suit up as a speedster, I don't ever care to see Wally suit up as 'Kid Flash' (seriously, worst name ever). This felt completely forced and merely done because they needed to give Wally something to do. Another speedster conflict dealt with Wally's desire to have superpowers, particularly speed, due to his jealousy of Jesse. But I'm just glad it seems it was over and done in one episode. The conflict between Jesse and Harry was handled well too, although it did feel like a season 2 rehash. The season didn't necessarily need them, but the more the merrier when it comes to the people at S.T.A.R Labs. I was so glad to hear that Jesse and Harry were going to be returning, even if it isn't for long. Of course, Flash wasn't alone this time as he had some useful help from Jesse Quick as the newly touted speedster in the show. Her powers obviously felt like a Magneto rip-off, but they served their purpose in the story and at least gave the show a different villain for Flash to defeat. I liked that her actions as Magenta were completely separate from what she believed was right as Frankie. So it was nice to see her take on a comic-book character, putting aside her very brief role as Young Talia in The Dark Knight Rises. King has been acting for nearly a decade now and has shown a ton of growth from her days on Suite Life or even in Ramona and Beezus, which is a guilty pleasure. Magenta herself was a good enough one-off villain for this week, and Joey King provided an entirely different vibe than what the show has brought in the past. I also don't need an explanation about his motives or bigger plans as of yet, I'm just enjoying what he's doing. ![]() I know people have issue with Alchemy's look, but I like everything he's doing so far. This week saw the first appearance of Magenta, another villain whose powers derive from Alchemy. As of right now, this is clearly the best show CW has to offer. No, Flashpoint didn't drastically impact the universe the way we thought, but I like the way they have approached Barry's unfortunate choices in that timeline. Nothing too extraordinary or shocking has happened thus far in this season of Flash, but I'm finding it exceptionally good. ![]()
